The City of Independence and the Independence EDC have partnered to create a new On-the-Job training program which is geared towards primary employers in Independence who are looking to fill open positions.
The program will pay up to $1,000 or 40 hours of salary (whichever is less) for qualifying companies which hire Independence residents who meet the low to moderate income requirements of the program.
