With new roads about to open up thousands of undeveloped acres in eastern Independence, less-than-ideal economic conditions haven’t stopped the planning for a new 360-acre business park.
Independence Business Park will be on both sides of Missouri Highway 78, just to the west of the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. It will be a partnership among the Community of Christ, developer Clayco, Inc, the Independence EDC and the City of Independence.
