Awards will be presented in several categories and nominations can be until Friday, February 3rd, 2012. Full details and nomination forms are available online at http://awards.inedc.biz.
Categories include:
- iNpact Award: Presented to Independence businesses who have located or expanded during 2011. Minimum requirements are 2 new full time positions and/or $25,000 of capital investment in equipment or facilities. This award is presented by Stewardship Capital.
- Manufacturer of the Year: Industries located in Independence will have the opportunity to be recognized as the top in their sector. Awards will be presented to both a small and large manufacturer which is located in Independence. This award is presented by UMB.
- Small Business of the Year: Businesses of less then 50 employees can be eligible for this award. Presentations will be made for businesses with 10 employee or less and 11 or more employees will be recognized. This award is sponsored by Heartland Business Capital.
- Entrepreneur of the Year: A budding company will receive this 1st annual award recognizing a new start up that has located in Independence. This award is sponsored by the Lake City Business Center.
